Beauty Routine suited to YOUR face
Who did you learn your beauty routine from? Was it your mum? Perhaps a best friend? Or maybe you taught yourself?
Times are changing, many mums don’t have the time to teach their daughters how to apply the perfect lip or subtle blush.
So many women find themselves turning to YouTube or Instagram to learn how to apply makeup.
The problem with this is that most women don’t have flawless skin or huge Bambi eyes like the girls (and boys!) in the videos.
With this in mind, I decided to let you in on my best tricks of the trade! Suited for all women.
Step 1 – PREP, PRIME and CONCEAL.
Moisturise your skin in preparation for beginning your application process as foundation applies best to smooth skin. Primer works as a barrier between your skin and makeup, helping your makeup to stay on longer. Contrary to how they use concealer in YouTube videos, it is most effective in covering small blemishes and dark circles when applied BEFORE foundation.
Step 2- FOUNDATION, CHEEKS and EYES.
A colour matched foundation should illuminate your natural complexion, apply a touch of blush to add life to your cheeks. Blush can also double as an eyeshadow and finish the look with a touch of mascara.
Step 3- SET IT.
Make setting spray a part of your everyday routine and watch the makeup beautifully melt into your skin. A spritz of setting spray will hydrate your skin and help your makeup last hours and hours.
This three-step guide should take no longer than five minutes to complete, perfect for when you’ve got to race out the door. If you’re interested in more tips like this or personalised recommendations suited specifically to you, come along to one of our workshops.
